Job Description

The Operations lead is responsible for the coordination and accuracy of the daily functions that include handling of sales orders, coordination of personnel within their areas and Handling and Inventory Control functions. The Operations lead will also help to identify and implement innovative ways to reduce department costs, improve efficiencies and customer satisfaction within the department.

Job Responsibilities:
: Oversee up to 50 people in team
: Coordinates the activities of subordinates
: Reviews difficult or complex work procedures to resolve questions presented by workers
: Oversees and participates in counting, weighing and measuring product (cubiscan)
: Accountable for ensuring that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters
: Assemble, Configure and pack products as required by predetermined specifications
: Ensure the safety, productivity, quality outputs and morale of all employees assigned to designated area and shift is maximized
: Properly locate product coming in from receiving and production to proper location and verify transactions are accurate
: Assist with the inventory management consisting of adjustments, and aging
: Interface with production, shipping, receiving, and quality as a team
: Utilize computer systems (Radio Beacon, JDE Edwards)
: Participate on cross functional team (Internal/External) for new customers entering forward or reverse logistics launches, and inventory rework
: Pick and stage product for transfer between buildings and or sites
: Provide updates to Supervisors as requested
: Controlling and monitoring use of company equipment
: Training on company procedures
: Making sure personnel are in compliance with company policies
: Assuring goals and expectations are completed on time
: Must ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of orders
: Ensure employees count, weigh, and identify items in shipping department
: Determines shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules, utilizing knowledge of routing guide requirements
: Coordinate truck pick-ups on a daily bases
: Audits daily shipments for quantity and labeling accuracy
: Responsible for supporting safety, on time delivery, promoting and maintaining excellent quality throughout the process
: Maintain a safe and clean work environment
: Communicates with vendor management / customer advocacy team on any daily bases with any issues

: Communicates effectively, orally and in written form, to ensure maximum understanding throughout the organization
: Excellent customer service skills
: Team oriented with a strong work ethic. Able to function effectively in a fast-paced work environment
: Able to multi-task and prioritize daily functions
: Microsoft Office computer skills
: Basic math skills

: Experience utilizing WMS
: Minimum of 3 years shipping and warehouse experience with previous supervisory experience

Preferred Education & Training:
: High School diploma or equivalent
: Forklift, Reach, Stock picker and Sit down certification a plus
