Job Description

Sr. Business Analyst - Finance

The IT business analyst role is a senior subject matter expert with the ability to collaborate with and act as a liaison to multiple business groups within the Finance and IT organization. Ensures technology solutions align with business needs and strategic goals. Assists in defining and planning departmental project roadmaps.

Responsibilities include:
: Work closely with the Finance Business units and IT partners to create, identify, and evaluate deliverables
: Performs research, fact-finding, interviews and requirements gathering workshops to determine business requirements and translate it into detailed functional specifications for development of end-user programs and systems
: Communicates solutions & processes and their implications to technical and non-technical contributors to ensure that applications accurately meet business users' goals
: Create, evaluate, and present "as-is" and "to-be" business processes
: Develop multiple creative solution options, perform tradeoff analysis, identify impact of various alternative solutions; leverage subject matter expertise to ensure a sound technical solution
: Present technology design recommendations to colleagues, management, business customers and vendors
: Work with the project manager to build detailed plans for the solution; support in managing project scope, risks, and issues
: Work with the development organization to deliver solution; act as the point of contact to resolve issues and design decisions with input from the business
: Setup walkthrough sessions, and act as the main point of contact for the QA organization during system test phase
: Work with the business to document test scenarios; coordinate and lead user test sessions
: Conducts root cause analysis using knowledge of applications, interfaces, and technology for defect resolution. Ensure defects are addressed by the development team
: Support the training organization in developing and delivering training
: Develop user documentation (i.e. web manuals, reference guides, etc.) as needed
: May act as a Project Manager on smaller approved projects; defining scope, project schedules, and implementing solutions following our SDLC methodology

Requirements:

: Require 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst.
: Experience with all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle
: Strong background in ERP and financial systems
: Experience with financial audits, and other regulatory institutions and practices.
: Ability to effectively interface with all departments within the company.
: Ability to work independently
: High-Level communication skills to collaborate, influence, and persuade others.
: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create and present concepts and recommendations to senior management.
: Ability to adapt to changing technology and apply it to business needs
: Experience with Microsoft office suite and SharePoint platform
