Job Description

Our direct client is looking for a Commercial Manager who will be responsible for ensuring a successful ongoing contractual relationship with their clients, tracking performance and developing new business.

Responsibilities:

Contract management:
This position will need to manage the Client contract(s) and ensure that we continue to meet our obligations and comply with the terms and conditions as set forth in any agreements. The Commercial Manager will be expected to proactively identify, develop and negotiate amendments and evolution of the contract and services as required to enhance the performance of our company and our client. On occasion, the Commercial Manager will also be the lead manager in resolving disputes; and for administering formal notifications to the client.

Sales & development:
This position will be critical in organizing the business in expanding the scope of services currently offered to our client; and extending our business reach into the client's organization. The position will assess opportunities and aid in the development of value cases. The Commercial Manager will also work with global and regional Commercial Management personnel in drafting and amending contracts for sales and business development activities.

Services performance:
This position will be critical in sustaining the business by ensuring that supply chain services are delivering quantifiable value to the client. The Commercial Manager will need to report on a regular basis on the value derived through supply chain services and the general health/performance of supply chain services. KPIs and SLAs will also need to be monitored and reviewed to avoid the unlikely event of liquidated damages. The Commercial Manager is expected to get his or 'hands dirty' by spending time problem solving with the company's stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify and resolve issues and improve business issues.

Governance management:
We manage a regular governance meeting with the client. The Commercial Manager is the facilitator and coordinator of the Governance Management process. This requires the Commercial Manager to work closely with the Service Delivery team in clearly articulating the value being delivered, as well as building a deep understanding of our services and the client's needs in order to influence and affect optimized outcomes for all parties

The Commercial Manager is a key management position that enables us to justify our long-term strategic relationship with the client. Whilst we deliver superior services to our clients, it is incumbent upon the person in this role to quantify the value and continuously articulate it with our client through various forums including, but not limited to the regular governance meetings.

Desired Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree required, Masters/MBA preferred
• 6+ years' work experience including:
• 2+ years client contract and/or supplier contract management
• 4+ years supply chain management
• 2+ years in Telco industry, or service industry
• 2+ years project management experience
• Consulting or Commercial proposal writing & management experience preferred
• Experience managing non-English contracts preferred
• Outstanding organization, analysis and presentation (PowerPoint) skills
• Strong research and analysis skills
• Excellent understanding of record management and processes
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Deep knowledge of Supply Chain / BPO methodologies
• Highly numerate
• Strong teamwork orientation
• High emotional intelligence
• Solution and problem solving orientated
