Job Description

The Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt position will primarily be responsible for three (3) things:
- Executing Lean Six Sigma projects to drive measurable results
- Defining and implementing a company specific Lean Six Sigma methodology
- Evangelizing on the value of process and continuous process improvement across the organization
The individual in this role is expected to leverage measurable results to grow the Business Process Management (BPM) team and impact of the team on the overall business.
Major Action and Support Actions
- Defines and implements our company specific Lean Six Sigma methodology.
- Leverages company specific Lean Six Sigma methodology to accomplish measurable business process improvements.
- Shares best practices, methods, and ideas, as well as coaches and mentors' others.
- Directs teams to achieve desired results using our company specific Lean Six Sigma methodology.
- Guides business process redesign projects by training participants, developing/validating team charter, facilitating meetings, providing expertise, and provoking new thought processes.
- Ensures consistent application of company specific Lean Six Sigma methodology across the various functions and departments.
- Makes recommendations, and develops and presents formal presentations to senior leadership.
- Coaches and mentors Black Belts and Green Belts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Degree: Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in business administration, engineering, and/or accounting
Certificate(s): Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification
- 10-20 years related experience across multiple consulting and corporate environments
- Demonstrated results in leading Lean Six Sigma projects
- Prior experience in defining and implementing a Lean Six Sigma methodology within a corporate environment
- Distribution industry experience preferred but not required
Knowledge in:
- BPM principles
- Continuous improvement methods, tools, and techniques
- Industry-leading BPM (or BPM related) methodologies
- Process-based reference architectures (e.g., APQC) and measurement frameworks (e.g., Balanced Scorecard, etc.)
Skills include:
- Proficiency in statistical and process management software
- Documenting business processes (process modeling)
- Analyzing business processes for waste and inefficiencies
- Knowledgeable in business productivity tools (e.g., MS Office, Visio, etc.)
- Utilizing business process modeling tools (e.g., BlueWorks, Mega)
- Expertise in Change Management
Capabilities include:
- Adapting strategy and approach based on changing business and/or environmental conditions
- Collaborating and partnering with various SMEs across the organization
- Dealing with ambiguity
- Applying a 'systems thinking' mindset to optimize process results
- Influencing others at all levels of an organization
